It reminds me of the one scenen in the Lion King where Mufasa says, "Everyingthing the light touches is our kingdom."

Obviously, Musafa had not counted on the light Mike is casting, which kingdom is clearly his. :)

Utterly awesome work!

Beware of the sepia - the evil pencilmaster has returned for another relentless exercise in pencil-mastery.

You are amazingly talented, and I am, as always, in awe. More Mal, though, please?

What kind of paper do you use? It's SO wierd how the texture shows as thought it doesn't have anything on it (like when you apply the paper texture to a piece of digital art). And what kind of pencils do you use? (I'm looking to add to my art supplies, but I never know what to buy when I go). These look SO much like my digital pieces, I'd love to get this effect like you do with physical pieces. I just don't know how to get it.

I use cason paper and regular graphite pencils..HB-9B..sometimes the texture comes through via my scanner, and I'll tweak it a bit in paintshop..I also add my sig via paintshop...most of my pieces are 10" x 15" (standard us comic size)...and the scanner I use can except up to tabloid size...thanks for the interest and the questions...see ya,
Mike
