“Sorry don’t mean to interrupt but River’s acting a little strange.” Kaylee looked to me and Simon. “But of course if you two were talking I can take her to Inara?”

“No Kaylee I was just leaving anyways.” Simon got up and went to go check on River.

“I’m sorry but he had to go give River her meds. I could answer some of those questions if you have any left.”

“Why didn’t Wash and Zoe go to see Olivia before she died?”

“They did! Once we heard that she had gotten sick we turned right around but we got there just a little too late.”

“Does anyone know how she got sick?”

“Well it could have been the pollution or…never mind.”

“Please tell me.”

“Wash’s parents never really approved of him and Zoe together and when they heard about Olivia they weren’t so thrilled. See Wash’s parents had a lot of expectations none of which had him a pilot on the run a browncoat for a wife and a kid.”

“Dinners great Kaylee this is way better then I have had in the past few months!”

“Really all it is some flavored protein and__”

“Oh when you don’t have anyone looking out for you it’s kind’ a hard to find food for yourself.”

“Awe man I wouldn’t survive out there without food on the table.” Jayne said scarfing down his third helping.

“Yeah sometimes I didn’t even get more then an apple and that was a feast.” Jayne chocked on his food.

“Simon what did you say about her being extremely healthy for a kid her age?”

“She is for not getting any of her shots from a year old up she’s healthy for an six year old.”

“She’s six I thought she was like ten!”

“Jayne she’s not very tall.”

“But have you heard her talk I don’t know haft the words she says.”

“I also said she was very smart for her age.” Kaylee smiled for being a big guy Jayne sure didn’t have any brains.

“What were your parents like?”
