Well my name is Olivia Remy W. I don't know my last name, but this is my story.

I have one clue to who I am and that is a bracelet that I have had since before I can remember. My parents didn't want me so I was adopted. I am different then all my friends I know what they say when they don't say anything I know my best friend doesn't really like me but people that don't know me at all know me the best.

Zoe is her name she reminds me of someone but I can't think of whom. Wash makes me smile. It feels good to smile every now and then. Inara is kind and gentle like Kaylee they always have a smile on when they see me with Wash. Jayne is a piggy I don't like him. Book is a preacher he tells me my parents had to love me at least a little. Simon says I remind him of someone that someone isn't here anymore he said she died when she was little never had the right chance. Mal calls me Olly every once in a while. It hurts Wash and Zoe to here that. I sometimes feel like I'm trying to fill shoes that are ten times bigger then me. River is like me confused, alone, and scared.

Everything is different up here no one tells me what to do or think. Kaylee taught me how to play jacks and I beat her it was fun. Simon and River taught me how to read. Simon said I learned really fast. Mal says I’m too smart. I miss my momma.

“Did I scare you?” I asked cautiously.

“Yes and what were you doing in there?”

“Don’t worry sir I had my eye on her she’s not dangerous.”

“Well don’t let her in the bridge don’t want her messing with anything.”

“Oh my husband already planned on her__”

“Zoe don’t even joke about her landing this boat!” I watched them talk about what I couldn’t do and what I could.

While they talked I made my way into the galley. Wash was sitting at the table with a string of beads in his hands some what like mine th
