Blindoutlaw - no, Jayne carries Vera, but as they're moving through the corridors he's leading with his handgun. I actually watched this again last night, and was impressed how Adam seems to be so natural with the pistol, and I'm impressed with this. You’ve captured his essence …

Blindoutlaw - I believe it was stated in one of the commentaries that Vera doesn't actually fire, which is why Jayne never actually shot her in that scene...
