Wind rips through the trees and walls

And rips voices away

Allowing silence to be the medium

As men pack up a carriage

Prepare for a long journey

With gifts and necessities

The lovers stand behind and watch

Holding on to each other

Passing love to each other with touch

Unable to cry again

After crying for so long

And when the time comes

Still no words are shared

Only sweet kisses pass between them

And a parting gift

As the lady rides away from her home

She clutches a yellow rose in her hands

Thorns ripping in to her palms

Shedding the tears she can’t shed herself
