A/N: I know I keep teasing you with a longer story and I swear, it's coming! In the meantime you'll have to settle for some one-offs!

03. Satin
Kaylee closed her eyes and felt the gentle touch of Inara’s hand against her neck as she again swept her brush through Kaylee’s thick hair. With a small sigh, Kaylee scooted back a bit as her friend smoothed out her freshly washed locks and then began to twist the hair and pin it up.
Opening her eyes, Kaylee looked about the dimly lit shuttle, taking in all of Inara’s finery. She always loved being in this place, it was very peaceful and calm, kind of like Inara and so much not like the rest of the ship. “Sorry,” Kaylee murmured. Glancing out of the corner of her eyes at the shiny material, she finally asked, “Hey, ‘Nara?”
“Yes Kaylee?” Inara answered, always amused when her friend began conversations this way.
“These sheets is real nice,” Kaylee sighed. “What is it? Silk?”
“No, satin,” Inara corrected. Pausing for a moment in her work, she regarded Kaylee’s half-done hair and then continued pinning up the honey brown locks. “And they are very nice and more than a little expensive.”
Kaylee was silent for another moment and then she asked the question that had really been on her mind. “Don’tcha ever just slide
Can't wait for more of your stuff!

Still...this was some utterly brilliant and non-smutty Silee goodness, TamSibling. We need more!

Lovely naughty thought.
"That’s the idea,” Kaylee murmured back
I loved this, but that line was just so cute.
I think this deserves a sequel where they DO slide off them the next morning . . . :)
I suddenly wished I had satin sheets.
And my very own non-fictional Simon...
Ahem
I really liked it. Maybe it could have been longer but this ways leaves the opportunity for a sequel, which is always good :)
I've read a lot of your stuff but never got round to commenting as I've only just registered. But I think you are an AMAZING writer and I love all your stuff, keep it up.
