Mal climbed out of his bunk he wanted to see how his new mechanic was fairing. When he reached the top, he heard some unsettling sounds coming from the bridge. They were more than unsettling they were damn near erotic.

“Oooh put that there.”

“Yeah, yeah…that’s real good.”

“What if I do that?”

“See it makes it smooth.”

Mal stood in the hallway willing him self to go check to see what was going on in the bridge, but he had walked in on one to many compromising situations for one day, so he decided to send Zoe in.

“Zoe!” Mal called. He walked down to the cargo bay. She was there going over some inventory.

“Sir, I think we need more-“

“Zoe I need you to go to the bridge.” Mal said cutting her off. Zoe gave Mal a questioning look.

“Didn’t you just come from that direction?” She asked stepping closer to him.

“I did. And now I need you to go to the bridge.” Mal put his hands on his hips to make himself look more assertive. This was failed on Zoe. ‘There’s unseemly noises coming from the bridge and seeing how I found our new mechanic.”

“Tell me again sir, where’d you find her?”

“On Serenity, pinned up in the engine room with Bester.”

“Uh huh…and now you think she’s taking up with Wash?”

Mal shook his head frantically and started waving his hands. “No, no, Wash would never.” Mal tilted his head to the side. “Would he?”

“Only if he had a death wish.”

“Right…” Mal looked up in the direction of the bridge. “Still there are some unsettling sounds coming from the bridge. Just go check.”

Zoe nodded and went to go investigate. 5 minutes had past and Mal hadn’t heard from Zoe. He took a deep breath and decided that it was time to be captain. He stopped at the end of the hallway.

“Zoe put your hand here.”

“Here?”

“Yeah, there. Feel any difference?”

“No, still a lot of tension.”

“Put it here closer.”

“Oh yeah, that’s the spot.”
