Onboard the Iliad

The old man stood in the med lad watching Kaylee as she breathed in and out evenly. The medicine she was unwilling been given should keep her a sleep for at lest another 10 hours, or at lest that what the old man calculation said. He couldn’t believe how close he was. Within a few days time they would be at their destination and then the preparation could begin. With in a week time he would accomplish his life long goal. And it was all thanks to the sacrifice of the girl in forth of him. A smile dawned on his face as he brushed back the girl’s hair that coved her face. She would be remembered for all of time.

Onboard Serenity

Before them loomed a huge space station. It was the only sign of life in the system with no stars to light it and no planets to full it. It was the only thing in a vest nothing. Everyone of the crew, even River, stood on the bridged looking at it.

“Wash?” Mal asked never taking his eyes off the station.

“We got this message when we enter into the system.” Wash said and pressed a button.

A strange female voice came over the speakers.

“Unidentified ship, you are trespassing on privet space. Leave this system at one, or you will be fire on. This is your only warning.” The voice clicked out.

“She’s scared.” River stated “Scared they will come and take want is left. She’s a rabbit hiding in a hole waiting for the fox to run away.” Everyone turned and look at River. The girl just stood there looking straight ahead, not even noticing she was the center of attention.

“There was a signal left with the direction. I sent it out hoping she doesn’t fire.” Wash said once everyone stopped
