I see you across the room

Your hair done perfectly,

Your clothing straight and clean.

You laugh with those around you,

Don't even notice my looks

I think back to a night much different

Where you hair had no purpose or defination,

Your clothing had long been lost.

Your voice was not being used for laughter,

I wonder if you think of that.

I see you entertain those men

I wonder if your happy,

If that smile is painted on.

I could save you, go over and drag you away,

But you made your choice, you left.

I remember the befores

When I knew your smile was happy,

No paint in your features.

Did you love me, was that true?

or did it mean nothing, is that why you left.

I watch you just alittle more

See you flirt among them,

See you blend in.

I walk away without a glance,

Don't want to see a lie, or the truth

I will lose the past

I cant have you,

Your life wont be spend with mine.

I wont hold your hand at night,

But I'll miss the past I once had.
