What if there was a Firefly video game? Or a novel based on Serenity? As long as it was made well and not tied down by a storyline and would let players make their own choices(Alliance or Browncoats, for a start), pull smuggling runs, explore the verse, and just generally let gamers experience the freedom of the verse, it could inspire many a non browncoat to watch the series and the movie, and thus converting them into browncoats, which would expand the fan base, which would get us one step closer to a second season or another movie. The same can be said about novels. A novel based on Serenity would inspire many people to watch the series and the movie, and again, would expand the fan base and the chances of another movie. There is a lot of fan fic out there, but the people mainly absorbing it are already browncoats, and thus have no need to be converted. A published novel could really help out the cause. Just some ideas on how to keep Serenity flying.

It's 7:21 am on Wednesday 9th April (here in England, anyway) and it's my birthday! Join me in an early cup of Kaylee's interengine fermentation wine, and maybe a cookie or two in celebration! Lots of things to do today, like going to London and seeing a show, which means my story ORDINARY DAY won't be finished for another day or two. But rest assured, it's coming. And I love being the same star sign as our captain ...

Well the carpet is gone. My wife and I took the old carpet to the dump and got rid of it. Now to finish cleaning the rest of the yard when the rain stops.

Spent a good bit of time today perusing patterns for a shindig dress. And looking at sewing machines as well. I really need a new one. Now, off to get my walk in for the day. Way too much mundane (read: housework) stuff to do today.

Was perusing the shows on www.BlogTalkRadio.com and typed in "firefly" on the search window and only ONE item came up -- shame on us for not representing here... Anyway, a talk show called Pop Culture America doing a live report from Mega-Con has a segment with Mark Shepard. Here's the link:
