I did me some math. I cant believe I actually figured it out, but years of failing every math class from geometry to basic functions is finally paying off. Perhaps declaring myself the new calculus master of the universe is a bit premature, but I'm giving Issac Newton notice. Now of to the gym to humble my mighty intelect with a pair of fifteen pound dumbells. They don't sound like they'd be heavy...

CASUALTY

Straight to the point, I can't wait fot the BDM, just in case the fact that I'm here and writing this didn't tell you that anyway. I can't help but feel, however, that my thirst for knowledge has somehow let me down. I have never been one to avoid spoilers. I like to know all I can about the things I am interested in and enjoy, so I read most of what is here on this site. Yesterday I was reading the questions directed at the people who have seen the screenings and the answers they provided and my reaction to them has got me worried. Usually reading the spoilers makes me yern for the time when I can see those things for myself, but the opposite has happened with Serenity. Where has my enthusiasm gone? Don't get me wrong I'm still wishing away the months until release and plotting ways of making money so I can afford to fly out to America to watch it. So I don't have to wait those couple of extra months until the British release. But the spoilers arn't tideing me over! I want the show we all know and love back no matter how futile that may be. I'm not sure if, (as much as I hate to think it) my imagination has caused part of the problem. It has been making up lives for these characters and may now have convinced itself that Joss and Co. are going to have to work mighty hard to rival that! Anyway, I somehow come away from this looking slightly weird and I promise I'm not! The conclusion I have reached is no more spoilers for me. In fact I'm not even going to let myself think about it for another 5 months. (yeah right) Trust in Joss, and even if I'm dissapointed a movie is better than nothing at all! I'm off to do my reading for my lecture which is in 10 hours. ...I guess my thirst for knowledge got the better of me after all! Alison

Alright, for this tastiest of breakfasts, you need the following: 3 eggs 4 slices bacon black pepper minced garlic cheese(sliced or shredded) 1 large non-stick pan 1 bottle of your favorite beer Set the eye of your stove to med-hi. As the pan warms, pour in just enough beer to cover the bottom of the pan. Set your bacon in the beer. Dash garlic and pepper on the bacon as it cooks to taste. Cook the bacon to your preffered level (chewy or crispy). I find pork bacon works best, as turkey bacon tends to lack the fat for better cooking, but it will work. Once your bacon is done, set the eye to warm or low. Set the bacon on a plate covered with a paper towel. Pour in more beer, just enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Add garlic and pepper for taste. Crack open the three eggs and scramble them in the pan with a fork. Add cheese to taste. Once the eggs are finished, put 'em on a plate with the bacon. And there you go. This can serve two, but it serves one for me. Just assume it serves two. Toast with jelly, juice, and milk make excellent sides.

after 6 years of being a freelancer, i decided to get a frequent pay and frequent work job!!! bit my tongue. went through orientation, many computer 'lessons' on the in-store modules, and have worked the register. i believe with all my heart, they try to brain-wash you. but now i get to see the inner workings. they try. had a ffm (firefly moment) when one of the module lessons asked what made a great store, there were 3 choices, one was 'clean', the second was 'shiney', and the third, i don't remember. i almost picked shiney. but then i'd have to take the test all over again for not getting a passing score.

watched it to celebrate getting a new job! i liked it. was dreading to go see it at the theatre. but now, wish i'd have been able to catch it in the theatres. turned around and made a night of it by watching the commentary version too. AT was great. husband didn't really notice it was him- good acting! will smith, my goodness with all the spec. effects, he acted great (i mean, really, it must be tough acting to tennis balls and guys with light teets without laughing)! liked that actor (with that cool name) from holes (and other stuff), unfortunate that his cut scenes weren't on the dvd. and it seems like so long ago since i've been working ever since first seeing it, tempted to watch it again before returning to the vid store!

Okay, [u]Firefly[/u] is great, I love my science fiction, I love reading and rock and roll and all that great stuff. So then is it strange and wrong of me to like [u]Gilmore Girls[/u]? I mean, really. My wife started watching the reruns on ABC Family a few weeks ago and I wasn't keen on seeing it at first, but I happened to be in the room one evening while she was watching it and all I could hear was the dialogue. Oh! My! Gawd! The writing on that show is awesome. It's quick, it's literate, it's witty! So the next day, I'm sitting there on the couch watching it. I mean, I'm hooked. It's really a well done show! I am a guy. And I like watching [u]Gilmore Girls[/u]. Is that wrong?
