cool Katt
Tuesday, 31 October 2006 00:05:23

My brother got out of the navy in 96 and he got himself a cat. It was a Siamese Burmese mix and being one of my family members he named him Katt. Long story short, Katt came to live with mom. She has had him for 5 or 6 years now. This is the biggest cat I have ever seen. He is not fat, he is just HUGE. I understand that Burmese can be quite large, but we are talking BIG CAT territory. Like a bobcat or summat. Anyway, Katt is well loved and has become a much needed member of the parental units family. And now he is sick. He has not eaten in a week and is now at the vets being force fed. They can find nothing wrong. I am afraid they will have to put him down and it will just destroy my stepDad. So send some browncoatie good thoughts Katts way. We need him home.

So I dressed up as Inara for a halloween party, with my friend Maria as Kaylee. We looked shiny and no one knew who we were. It was so sad.

Sorry Its too much. I am sick and tired of all the crap on this site. And I just long to stand in the middle of the 'verse and scream SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP at the top of my voice. SHUT UP. GROW UP. We will now return to our regularly scheduled program.

That was quite a lot of welcomes! Thank you all for you kind words! A comment on BlueEyedBrigadier's question. Yes indeed, how does one convert someone to a Browncoat if they are not a Browncoat themselves? Well, let's just say, she made me aware of Serenity, then I did the rest. When I learn about things I have a tendency to go and investigate these things if they hit a cord in me (Serenity had me reliving the same experience I had when I saw Star Wars), so I was pretty much dedicated anyway). I saw a lot of familiar things, the way Mal almost was a Han Solo-ish character, the old western style, guns, old battered spaceships. It was a mix of things I loved, and the way the film presented itself just kinda trapped me and wouldn't let go.

I'm an E-town Browncoat now!
Tuesday, 31 October 2006 20:17:27

Well, I am all moved in and I call E-town PA home now. SO that makes me an E-town Browncoat. Fortunatly for me I have discovered that one of my brother's new friends is a fan as well ( he is in love with Inara, but what else is new?)and I plan on having a Firefly marathon this weekend with them. One of his other friends has never seen it so I smell an attempt at converting coming on after all it can't hurt to try right? It has been such a long while since I've been in the Verse and watched our BDH in action that I think I was having withdrawls, you know Firefly withdrawls. I know mine are happening when everything reminds me of anybody on the crew, I start creating excuses to say lines from the show have firefly related dreams and wear a lot of brown. The only difference between that and being a fan is the fact that I haven't been watching Firefly lately and I miss it. Hmmmm. I have to remedy that this weekend as soon as possible. So I am settling in and getting to know some new places and people but as always I am proud to waar that dusty Browncoat and long to sail in a Firefly.
