I got into Firefly after my friend Quentin told me about it. I found this site after becoming obsessed, oh so hopelessly obsessed. So far I've converted my siblings to being Firefly fans, and I'm working on other friends. Anyway, I'll be around pretty often.

This is just in case any new readers check out my stuff and can't quite place it ... My series starts a few months after the BDM, and introduces a new character called Freya Nordstrom. She's an old friend of Mal and Zoe's, who fought in the war alongside them as an Independent, and who has loved Mal ever since. There is also another character introduced some time later - his name is Hank and he is Serenity's new pilot. He is smart and witty, and has a bad crush on Zoe. She'd rather throw him out of the airlock ... I don't want to tell you too much at this point, in case you've picked up one of the early stories, but I will say that there's babies and marriages along the way, as well as the reappearance of several well-known characters ... I've tried to keep to the main line as started by Joss Whedon, but this is my own extension, and the feedback I've received has been so encouraging that I don't see this ending any time soon, so I hope you enjoy!

since i was last here i have become a happy browncoat -well happier anyway finally i have seen the whole series and since eldest daughter gave me Serenity for Christmas i have a bit more idea about FF. Downside -decided to have indulgent seession -extra cushions, drink, nibbles, the widescreen and surround sound and . . . fell asleep half way through. Don't seem to be any fans near me but here's hoping.

Goodmoning my fellow Firefly fans :) It has been a year since I found and been drawn into the Joss verse and nearly a year since I found FFfan.net and you fine ppl. FollowMal gave me and the Mrs. our virtual browncoats that day and I haven't taken it off (well to wash it once in a while I have :)but in the virtual washer it only takes a couple seconds....ha..ha Anyhoo that was a couple of months after hurricane Rita (not Katrina) which hit our area and did a whole lot of damage.The local communities have pulled together and we are doing very well. You can still see lots of damage though and some of the homes that can't be repaired are at this time being bulldozed to the ground. It is pretty sad. But life and the verse go on. I have met many interesting ppl on this and other sites and I call most of them friends. I'm a pretty easy going fella and understand sometimes my opinions are not yours and I respect what you have to say. I like it that mine are respected also. We can share no problem. One thing I do really want is more FF/Serenity. I do understand that if a show isn't any good it will die and the network it is being shown on will pull it. But that isn't FF. the browncoat population is growing larger every day and an unpopluar tv series doesn't have 50 fan websites with thousands of dedicated fans. Nope there is more to this show than that. I hope that 2007 will be a great year for us browncoats. A new movie and telivision series will do just fine. T-shirts and posters and dvds and even trips that are not to far away I can do. coin is limited though so I may have to pull a train job or maybe a payroll theft to get the $$ to go further. Anyway that's a little more about me. I don't see my enjoyment of FF ending anytime soon if ever. I really like the new folk coming in and get a kick out of the way they got here. just got a new puppy today and as soon as i saw her she was River. we got her from the shelter, shes a shepherd mix and intelligent. i love her so far!! i will post pictures as soon as i can. take care all!
