At Home: wifewithpez: What a bunch of geeks! manwithpez: (ala Stewie: Who the hell do you think you are?) You do know you're married to one of 'em, right? At Work: Stickboy: You're going to Charlotte to see a movie? You do know that there's movie theaters right here, right? manwithpez: (And yet, you are not considered to be strange for driving hours to see the Nas-Car...a bunch of vehicles driving in a circle. Now that's entertainment!) Yes, I know that. In Charlotte: CMS: You must be Pez, right? manwithpez: (What? I have to be the only adult male who carries around a Pez dispenser? Maybe I'm just a huge Incredibles fan...Ever think of that?) Yes, I am. (Actually, she called my bluff...I pulled this dispenser out to be recognized...whattya know...it worked! Thank you Mr. Incredible!) Again, In Charlotte: wifewithpez: Who's that? And why are you pointing at him? manwithpez: (Holy SHIT! That's Exec. Producer and former Mutant Enemy President Chris Buchanan!!! And he's here!!! He right there...Chris Buchanan...Chris B. Right over there!!! Look! Come on manwithpez...say something...anything!!! Yell his name...Yell your name...SAY ANYTHING!!!) "....." Chris Buchanan: Hello, I'm Chris Buchanan. manwithpez: He's the producer!!! At Home on the Phone: Nonevilstepmother: How did you get in to see that movie already...It doesn't come out until September. manwithpez: (I never told her that...Well, I did...months ago. Holy crap...she actually does listen to me. Who knew?) I got lucky. After The Tanning Bed: wifewithpez: So, how did it go? manwithpez: (MY ASS IS ON FIRE!!! GOD WON'T SOMEONE HELP ME!!!) Fine.

I've never, never ever in my life written a blog. I don't often read them, either, since the few I have seen were basically long, whiny rants. I'm in a weird frame of mind right now, though; hence why I'm writing this now. I wonder how many people will respond...? I'm still working on the next installment of "Point of No Return." When I began the story I had all manner of free time, and then just like *that* I'm busier than a hooker on "2-for-1 Night." The focus of the story has shifted from Kai to Mal to Inara, a fact I was not aware of when I wrote the stories. So, the later eps have a distinctly different tone from the earlier ones. I'm trying to figure out how to bring the focus back to Kai and his relationships with Mal and River, so that challenge, coupled with all the "real world" crap I have to do, will likely delay the next installations by a couple of weeks. Not to worry, though; the story will wrap up pretty soon. Actually, that's not true. There's another chapter, tentatively titled "Heart and Soul," that's in the works. It'll follow Inara's adventures after leaving Serenity and reveal some new things about Shepherd Book. The wheels are still turning on that one, though. Anyway, look for it around August. I thought of doing a "backstory" fic chronicling Simon's ordeal with breaking River out of the Academy, but I'll wait till after the BDM is released to see what details are released on that whole storyline. I swear, if I devoted half the time I spent working on fanfic to working on my own writing, I'd be a rich man by now. That's it. Not bad for my first blog, but longer than I originally anticipated....I may put up another one; depends on the response I get to this one. Later! DJ

Okay, I have a serious question, and I want honest answers. I do not want all you wonderful people to tell me what you think I want to hear. I went to the doctor for my usual checkup. I am now measuing at about 40 weeks. (I'm very pregnant for anyone who hasn't read any of my other whiny blogs) Anyway, since I'm having multiples, I'm larger than normal. I'm really only at 27 weeks, and I'm only goign to get bigger, heavier, and more uncomfortable. If I were carrying a singleton. measuring at 40 weeks would mean I could deliver at any time, however I still have a couple of months to go. Anyway, when I offhandedly complained about walking the length of parkinglots in the 100F degree summer heat, my doc gave me a prescription for a temporary tag to use disabled parking. Should I be thrilled, go redeem my prescription for a tag, and enjoy the awsome parking? Should I tough it out and walk the length of the parking lots and count my blessings that I am not, infact, disabled? Would I be taking an unfair advantage? I ask, because browncoats have seemed to be the most ethical and smart people in the verse. What are your ideas?
