Sorry it's late, Christmas madness. First off I'd like to say I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Monday and Tuesday I was sick, vomitting my guts out it was all very exciting. I'm not going to dwell on the negative for this blog though, there isn't much to be said in that regard anyway. I love the holidays. I know it's cheesy as hell but it seems that around this time (by "this" I mean a little before and a little after Christmas and of course during), problems just go away. I actually had several nice bonding moments with my parents, one dancing, one cooking and the other just sitting and listening to music. I just get in that mood around the holidays. Everything at school loosened up (either that or I've just stopped caring, I think likely both). All the exams and projects and stuff were finished so we were pretty much free except for one French period which I'd rather not talk about :crap: . On Thursday we had a talent show, it was awesome lots of cool bands and comedy sometimes mixed together, plus we missed the afternoon. Friday we partied all day though we still had to go to class. Our Math teacher gave us homework for the holidays which I am intent on leaving for the last minute. That brings us to the weekend. On Friday night I stayed at my grandparents house (I do this every Friday since they live in Toronto, I have since I was a month old). It's my grandmother (dad's mom) and my step-grandfather's house (though he's more of a grandfather than my real one who I barely see. My mom's parents are dead (all of this information is relevant I guess assuming anyone actually gives a good gorram). On Sunday (I think) I went out with my (real) grandfather Jorje (Spanish, I think that's how you spell it). We went to Steve's (one of the big music stores in Toronto) and I tried out my dream bass (EDB 400). He got me a giftcard worth $250.00 from there so now I'm just $200.00 away from actually being able to buy the bass (which is going to be black and I will name her "Vera"). I'm realatively new to the first as opposed to when Firefly first aired it's beloved show on fox. I watched my first episode last year, 'War Stories' and fell in love. Since then I've been all over anything Firefly/Serenity, own both movie and dvd collection and hoping to god the show is remade or more movies, or anything to keep this thing alive. Hope to get along well with you all. See ya in the black :smile:

Having fun at Mom's house. I up and joined the 76th. I'll work on backstory on the flight home probably. I had a couple of so-bad-they're-almost-good ideas for fic on the way here. Whee! The spousal unit got to try the maternal unit's lasagne for the first time. NOW he knows why he married me! 12 years for a plate of food, but it was worth it. Filius mei is having a great time at grandma's. Hope anyone reading this is likewise enjoying the season.

Well, haven't been up to see Mom for the holidays yet (I was suppose to head up early this morning). Why? I came down with a ruttin' head cold on Christmas Eve. While at midnight mass. Fun is not almost freaking out the elderly usher at church by coming close to passing out. Anyway, so I'm still home so as not to pass my yule joy to Mom. My brother his wife and their son were all ill late last week, each with something different. Did someone paint a bullseye on us or something? So, here I am, with my fuzzy brain and no attention span to speak of. I kinda feel like a three year old with ADD and sniffles. {/whining} I did have a nice time up to the cold. My friends and i have a tradition of getting together to exchange gifts and do some gaming. My friend who hosted fed us prime rib! (yum!!) There were also lots of cookies, chocolate and a homemade pumpkin pie. I hope all of you have had a great holiday and have a safe and happy New Year! *hugs*
