I have been very surprised and disheartened by our limited response to our plea for volunteers. I dunno why, I just expected folks to just clamor to help! I'm deeply worried that our window of chance will speed right by this summer and into the Serenity 'Versary. I know we are doing all we can... and with our hearts full in it. But I still worry. I can't help but feel as if Universal will surely see our numbers growing if we can gather enough folks into our big family. With the huge volume of viewers of YouTube and the huge amount of folks who go about in the myspace universe I have hopes that we'll make Firefly/Serenity a part of pop culture. It already is such a success story.. I hope we can add to the legend.. that wonderful "mighty" that we are! Well, we'll see.. the battle is on.. we'll see who's colors fly at the end of the Summer. :) On a sadder note.. ( sorry this blog has been down lately) my little kitten ( one of three motherless babies :( ) was killed by the same evil dog who killed it's mother. There are still two remaining and they are well and more sprightly. Little Mia was a doll.. white with orange on her ears and tail.. very delicate and kind. I cried. Even though I live on a farm and I know that death comes.. I cried. I promise to be happier tomorrow. I do, really!

I was watching Bushwhacked today and right when River's waking up from a nightmare and the Reaver wannabe is getting up from the table in the infirmary, our carbon monoxide monitor started beeping. It scared the :censored: out of me.

I was having Firefly withdrawals. Also internet withdrawals. All at once. But that didn't stop me from having a grand time last week. I got to be a role model for a buncha middle schoolers. Good of me eh? After a grand week, the other counselors and I went to the place of my work. This place happens to be a sort of amusement park and it was heaps of fun. I was able to write some brief and incomplete things that have yet to be typed. So that is my update.

I have quit the firefly mod. But the only reason is no modelers. So I began to work on my own game engine. I have it stable, but yet again no modelers. So I am in desperate need of modelers!!!!! If any one wants to see a free firefly game from me talk with your friends, I need help. Well, enough of me complaining. Here are some of the features of my engine I have developed: - Powered By the Irrlicht SDK - DirectX, Open GL, and Software Renderers - High end graphics featuring parallax mapping and per pixel lighing - Phisics engine powered by Newton - Internet Library for multiplayer With some modelers, i can get this project started again!

But how are you misbehaving? you may ask well i'll tell you, i tried to do a stupid dare, touch the roof, may not sound bad, but it was when i had to scramble quickly off of the computer room roof (second floor, boo-yah) But Beth, you may say, thats just plain stupid :knife: how is that misbehaving? this is how, i also have pinned down the art of doing the most evil things, and getting away with them scot free :evil: I may sound cocky, but i call it stupidity :wink: Beth :stupid:

Well I had an interesting anniversary of my mothers labor. Lets see - #1 called in a panic because his tire was flat - so mom (me) rushed to the rescue and 2 tires and $249 dollars later - problem solved. Then my house got hit by lightening and took out the modem and the air con. Dad "fixed" the air con temporarily - so now the fan runs continuously. He is going to try to replaced the fan switch today. Handy when ones step-dad is retired air conditioning mechanic! Both my dads mentioned this weekend that they had never met anyone with as much bad luck as me. I think its karma. I think I was Hitler in another life. The anniversary of my mothers labor was ok. I tried to have nothing and get nothing, but my mommy veto'd. I got a new printer, some parfume, a nightie and some lavendar goodies. The kids (all 47) pitched in money and bought me a day at the spa. I thought that was sweet. #2 starting to get a bit worried. Everyone please think positive thoughts for him and mom this week while they have surgery.

Thanks to everyone who talked to me in a calm and reasonable manner. And the rest of you,too. I have taken a Deadwood screwdriver to my writer's block, and it is now in pieces! The rest of Cold Comfort Mountain will be posted up over the next little while. I have some time off at the end of the week, and sod the housework. This fic was originally going to be maybe three chapters, and a character piece. But then, so was 'Zen...'. And then a subplot arrived. All I can say is, it's interfering mightily with the crossover I'm plotting. And the adventure after that. They are stacking in a holding pattern! Note to self; stop drinking coffee. It makes the world all bright and shiny, but then all the little voices come at once...

After far too long, I've finally updated Choices. 5000+ words of Part 13 A is up, and will be followed by parts b and c in the next little while - in a much more timely fashion than this one, I promise! I have another 5000 words already written, with about 5000 to do, split between part b and c. Then, htere'll just bet he epilogue following that, and it will all be done! Thank you again to all of you who have been waiting so patiently for this, and who have continued to read despite the long delays between posts lately. It feels so good to be back!!! My computer has been in the shop for the last two days and I felt like a zombie just wandering about. I was so depressed I think I may have lost some weight. But now its back and I can breathe again!!!! What I'm a little ticked about is that it wasnt even my computer that was broken, it was my battery backup. so i was lost for two days for nothing!! but its all good now. got a cool new battery and now im trying to catch up on posts and fanfic. I think the only thing that has gotten me through was that Serenity has been on Cinemax everyday since saturday!! Thank God!
