How to use a Deadwood Screwdriver

Thanks to everyone who talked to me in a calm and reasonable manner. And the rest of you,too.

I have taken a Deadwood screwdriver to my writer's block, and it is now in pieces! The rest of Cold Comfort Mountain will be posted up over the next little while. I have some time off at the end of the week, and sod the housework.

This fic was originally going to be maybe three chapters, and a character piece. But then, so was 'Zen...'. And then a subplot arrived.

All I can say is, it's interfering mightily with the crossover I'm plotting. And the adventure after that. They are stacking in a holding pattern!

Note to self; stop drinking coffee. It makes the world all bright and shiny, but then all the little voices come at once...
