Sorry fanfic writers, I am going to be blunt here. First of all, why is everyone so eager for sex in fanfics? If you want written sex go and buy some gorram soft porn literature. I want to use my imagination once in a while and describing orgasms ("after the burst they fell back to the bed") is getting very old. If you really want to write sex, add a twist or two. Something to imagine. Like the fanfic featuring Simon and Kaylee doing it in zero gravity (I actually liked that one). My second point: Off canon fanfic is a matter of taste, and I don't like it. Why introducing completely unknown characters at all? We already have a core group of nine (or seven after the BDM) well defined characters. These are the ones I want to read about, not some strange twins of Kaylee and Simon or another companion I never heard of before. I have no problem with fanfics completely based on other characters though (like the recent "Grey" ones). I just don't want to see a mix of BDHs and "strangers". I know that many people out there might be upset right now, so please feel free to comment :-) I'm looking forward to your opinion. Chris EDIT: Alright, since there has been a major missunderstanding: I do like good fanfic. It's just those two aspects above I am wondering about :-)

...with a firey passion! I got up super early this morning, went to Target and bought my copy of the BDM. I've spent the last few hours watching it, along with all the extras. I'm so full of browncoat love right now  . I'm waiting to watch the actual movie again until my friends get here, and I haven't wacthed it with the commentary yet, but man do I love the outtakes. So much shiny happiness! Hurray!

Some of those deleted scenes... I truely wish they had been in the final cut... I haven't listened to the commentary on them yet, so I'm sure I'll hear all kinds of reasons why they were cut, but... all the best Mal/Inara bits! It's funny, because all most every single (minor) complaint I had about Serenity, is solved by those deleted scenes... hehe... Well, guess I'll go watch em all with the commentary now...

So, I got the Serenity DVD today. My mom bought it for me, isn't that sweet...I love her, favorite mom ever, I swear to God. I *::liver sign:: my mom! Just this one tiny, itty, bitty, nano, miniscular little glitch. Smaller then the latest iPod, we're liquidating, buy now. She bought fullscreen. My dear, wonderful mother believes fullscreen is superior to widescreen. Of course, I told her of the error of her ways, how Firefly was filmed in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, and how buying fullscreen would kill that. A lot. So she's out, buying the widescreen, and now she knows. She knows. Because I told her. Gods, I'm such a giving gal. * The liver, heart, and stomach where all once in contest for being the seat of human emotions. The heart was established as the seat of human emotions by the Egyptians. Imagine if that hadn't been so. I ::liver sign/stomach sign:: my Pekingese!
