Two personal thoughts on Fanfic

Sorry fanfic writers, I am going to be blunt here.

First of all, why is everyone so eager for sex in fanfics? If you want written sex go and buy some gorram soft porn literature. I want to use my imagination once in a while and describing orgasms ("after the burst they fell back to the bed") is getting very old. If you really want to write sex, add a twist or two. Something to imagine. Like the fanfic featuring Simon and Kaylee doing it in zero gravity (I actually liked that one).

My second point: Off canon fanfic is a matter of taste, and I don't like it. Why introducing completely unknown characters at all? We already have a core group of nine (or seven after the BDM) well defined characters. These are the ones I want to read about, not some strange twins of Kaylee and Simon or another companion I never heard of before. I have no problem with fanfics completely based on other characters though (like the recent "Grey" ones). I just don't want to see a mix of BDHs and "strangers".

I know that many people out there might be upset right now, so please feel free to comment :-) I'm looking forward to your opinion.

EDIT: Alright, since there has been a major missunderstanding: I do like good fanfic . It's just those two aspects above I am wondering about :-)
