I'm ever so poor and need desperately to raise money to travel this May. Not to mention eating for the rest of this spring. I cannot get a job because of my university stipulations and workload, so I have resorted to selling many of my things. I bought the movie several months ago, but I made a little mistake. I bought the full screen copy, and I really wanted the wide screen version. I thought I could deal with it, but my film student eye demanded that I buy it in wide screen. I could see that several scenes were specifically designed for a picture that is 2.35x1 in dimension (letterbox style) as oppose to 4x3 (full screen dimension). So, I did. I have found someone to take the full screen copy, so it won't go to waste. :smile: Since the wide screen edition gives more detail, I noticed something interesting about the crate that River sits on. Its in the scene were the crew narrowly escapes the Reavers after the Lilac job. She sits on the crate, looks down at the dead Reaver, and says "He didn't lie down. They never lie down." THAT crate is actually specifically designed to carry lighting equipment. Probably Fresnel lamps(

Just a few things that Firefly has taught me: 1) Brown goes with everything so wear it proudly. 2) Jayne is not just a girl's name. 3) The small concealable weapon goes to the left of the place setting. 4) First we work then we play. 5) Always watch out for Reavers and Space Monkeys 6) Mercy is the mark of a great man.. well a good one...well he's alright. 7) When you can't run you crawl and when you can't do that you find someone to carry you. 8) We are objects in space. 9) No power in the 'Verse can stop me. 10) We have done the impossible and that makes us mighty. 11) Dinosaurs look great on the dash. 12) The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vaccuming systems. 13)You can never have too many grenades. 14) Aim to misbehave. 15) The first rule of flying...Love is what keeps her in the air when she oughta fall, tells you she's hurtin 'fore she keens. Makes her a home. Just thought you'd all enjoy that maybe I'll add some more later. Any suggestions?
