Film Student Syndrome (or, I noticed something in BDM)

I bought the movie several months ago, but I made a little mistake. I bought the full screen copy, and I really wanted the wide screen version. I thought I could deal with it, but my film student eye demanded that I buy it in wide screen. I could see that several scenes were specifically designed for a picture that is 2.35x1 in dimension (letterbox style) as oppose to 4x3 (full screen dimension). So, I did. I have found someone to take the full screen copy, so it won't go to waste.
Since the wide screen edition gives more detail, I noticed something interesting about the crate that River sits on. Its in the scene were the crew narrowly escapes the Reavers after the Lilac job. She sits on the crate, looks down at the dead Reaver, and says "He didn't lie down. They never lie down." THAT crate is actually specifically designed to carry lighting equipment. Probably Fresnel lamps(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresnel_lantern). That case can hold 3-6 lamps depending on their size.
