Love that episode. I was watching it last night and it got to me that this episode is my favorite. From all the great episodes that Joss had created, Objects in Space imprint all the emotions that you feel through out the show more on you than any other episode. You can say it is because that episode is the last or it could be because of Kaylee being tide up and I would agree with you. However, I must add this to the discussion, I also believe that River finally becoming a member of the crew has something to do with the episode being so great. Through out of the show River is just a girl trying to deal with her daemons, but in this episode, she makes it clear how much she loves all of them and that she does not want them to be hurt because of her. That she will go back to the place that tortured her for so long just so her “family” will be safe. And by doing that she proves that she belongs with them all, that she is one of the crew, that those people are her real family.

I just got back from taking my niece on a guerrilla marketing mission; we put up posters in several comic shops around Bellevue, Washington, and picked up a copy of Serenity comic #2 while we were out. My neice suggested that bus stops might be a good place to hang a few posters; I may try that in the future.

so i start school in less than a week and have three books to read for my APs. and yet all i can think about is who would make the best serenity pez dispenser and what flavors would go with each character. figures; the one year i'm supposed to take school seriously enough to realize what i want to do with my life i discover a little world called firefly. good thing i didn't deal with all that during the impt junior year. i must say that this is all the talented writers faults. or manwithpez for bringing up the entire pez thing. good things mean more on tuesdays.

Victory is mine!” (Josh Lyman: West Wing, Season 1, Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc) SO, my best-ist friend in all the world, Crusty (a Big Damn Wuss) has had the Firefly box set sitting on his shelf since January … Every week or so I ask him if he’s watched it and he say “noooo” (in a kinda winy way) and follows it up with some stupid excuse like “I’m working through Farscape”… So we had a wedding to go to at the weekend which I was slightly nervous about (my ex with whom I lived for 5 years was the groom (hey, I dumped HIM ‘cos of the whole, looking like a pig in a wig thing! Me, shallow?)) Crusty came round to stay the night before and since he had nowhere to go (the TV’s in my bedroom) I forced him to watch the pilot… We went to the wedding (which wasn’t as bad as I’d feared – ex has now become pretty much all Weeble – for those that don’t know, this is pretty much EXACTLY what he now looks like:
