Thursday, 16 February 2006 01:22:13

Okay! So, I'm new here! Not to being a Browncoat, but to this site. I'm just running around and trying out things, so just felt like announcing my presence...so...hi! Hahaha. Yay for Firefly and Serenity!

When I first heard of Serenity (I only saw FireFly afterwards), I saw this poster that went along with it:

I goofed

I'm afraid I painted a poorer picture of Mal with my last installment of The Newcomer, and it was not my intention. I have corrected my accidental oversight, and hopefully, the story will continue to be agreeable from now on. Thanks, everyone!

The Fundamental Three Customization... Exploration... Creation... These are a few of the aspects of life for which a “Gamer” lives. A game can never have too many choices, never be too big or detailed, and it can never have enough creativity embedded within. Our souls cry out for these three fundamental ingredients of which we define ourselves. Our everyday life is filled with them—they define the art of life itself. Without them we can survive, but for what? Customize the flow of your life. Explore and learn life. Create life. Customization The ultimate game—life—the one we all play whether it be willingly, gratefully, or even knowingly. So how exactly do we do this, what is life? How can you play something you don’t know? How can you thoroughly play a game with such complexity? You can’t, you have to choose pieces. You have to customize... you have to customize the pieces of life, form them into what you want and can handle. Every choice you make is part of the customization of your life; the knowledge you seek, the conclusions you come to, the decisions you make, the skills you perfect, the career you follow, where you set the apple on the kitchen sink. Every choice you make customizes your life. Exploration Life is so complicated and immense in depth, so many nooks and crannies, so many fields, forests and mountains, so much sky, so many possibilities, so much knowledge. And it’s all there, waiting to be explored. Exploration dances nicely with customization; you explore life and customize what you find. The more you explore the more you customize, and the more you explore and customize the more you grow, which brings you back to exploring and then more customizing. Exploration is the golden key that makes Man so special, that and the intense need for customization. It allows us to grow and learn. Creation What would life be without creation? Creation is the final product of customization and exploration. Without creation life would still be as it was when first begun. So, you customize, you explore, you customize, you explore some more, and then you create, and then the whole thing repeats. This is how life itself grows. The more you create the more there is for others to explore, customize, and then create for themselves. Afterthought A good game has decent depth in all three of these aspects of life. A great game has an extreme depth in all three aspects, especially in exploration (the more there is to explore the more you can customize, and the more you can create). Life has a limitless depth in all three aspects. Of course, a game in life is just a piece of the game of life. Reader's Note You may wonder why I start with customization instead of with exploration. If so, let me explain the simplicity of it. You are part of life; in all of us is a core piece of life. There is no need for exploration in this core piece of life because it is our core, it is our foundation—we all have it no matter what. All that’s left for this piece of core life is customization and creation.

Me again
Thursday, 16 February 2006 04:40:56

Hiya it's me again second time today cause now I'm home and just waiting for my phone to ring. Why oh why am I such a slave to the pay check? Seriously can anyone tell me? Well I can. Cause cashey money makes my car go forward. AND NOW A SHORT REFLECTION ON MY VEHICAL Okay so it's real old like late 1980's old and it's kida falling apart. It reminds me of Serenity some. I know I could just buy a new car and it would save me money in the long run cause my car aint worth more'n it'd take to fix it but I love her. She's my good girl and keeps running even though I still can't drive a stick shift to well. Oh god my grandmother would die if she ever knew that I was even typing in this manner. She was a golram english teacher for thirty some odd years. So anyway I like it here. I can't believe I finally found a place where I could belong and there are actually other people here. So I love you all now. Bye. Sorry if I seem creepy now.

As you may have heard, SoulOfSerenity & I are attempting to write a new Fic together. As the movie changed the whole History of the 'Verse, we are starting fresh. So forget all that has come before, and I hope you like the newer versions of our characters. Soul has already posted a teaser for the fic, as well as some of his writing. I hope to have chapter 1 of mine up sometime soon. Also, I will be posting a very crude (please don't laugh) drawing of a ship we are thinking of using in this fic. 'Ski

Kaylee on the brain
Thursday, 16 February 2006 16:13:35

I woke up thinking about Kaylee this morning. I woke up at 6:45 am for no reason. I should have been wondering why in the sphincter of hell am I awake this early but no I was all glowey thinking about my little mechanic. Then I was wandering around blurry eyed and stepped on my nano. Apple made them a lot more durable then you'd expect! So that's a little blurb about my morning while I ignore my daily conference call.

Announcement and Apology
Thursday, 16 February 2006 20:47:45

First, ReBirth - Soul - 2 is up, finally. Okay, posting it 8 times, however, was not my fault. I feel really bad for burying other peoples stuff, so I'm writing this blog to apoligize. I've e-mailed Haken and Shiny to try and get this fixed. I had my fic all set up to be posted, and hit "Submit" at the bottom. Well, it went to an error screen, so I hit back and hit "Submit" again. Did it a few times in a row. So when it finally did go through...thus the resulting 8 posts. So I apologize, and I hope that you can look past my mistake to enjoy my fic!! - Soul

I just gotst/\ let you know!!
Thursday, 16 February 2006 21:40:52

Well... Good Morning!!! It is 8:30am & I have half an hour till I start work and I thought I should let you know that today will be my last day on the site for about a week - I know!!! It's ok, really it cuts me deep too but we will get through this together :) LOL!!! You know, I crack myself up and I know that is like crazy but at least I make myself laugh ;) The reason I won't be on for a while is because I have to go back home to Brisbane to be with my family (or what's left... long story) - I'm really looking forward to seeing all my old friends and just going crazy like old times!!! See... we don't have internet at home, although my dad has the net hooked up to his laptop but I doubt he will let me use it hahahaha! Well, I'll prolly write during the day - as I'm stuck for work and I've only been getting about 100 calls (which is a slow day)... So cutting a long story short (well not really) I'll be on here probably the whole day :) Yay for you ;) LOL! Keep on smilin' Jesh xXxXx PS - I am wearing a new outfit today and may I add it is shiny... literally :P

How would it work?
Thursday, 16 February 2006 23:02:04

This was a really dumb question.

Rebel for a Cause
Thursday, 16 February 2006 23:56:42

What would have happened if FOX had not cancelled the show so early? I mean, yeah, we would have all got more eps to see (something I really would have loved), we probably would not have seen teh BDM. But apart from that! I mean, it would have been a hell of a TV-show, but that would have been it, I think. There have been other good TV-series before (okay, maybe few and far between, but I know a couple), and there will be new good TV-series in the future, because there are great filmmakers out there. We would just have been fans of a TV-Show. Just like there are Farscape fans or Star Trek fans or Buffy Fans out there. The cancellation of the show, the feeling that there was injustice at work here that has to be remedied, is what makes us more than fans, is what makes us Browncoats. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that the cancellation is a good thing. But in a way it is what brings us closer together. It is just like the crew of the Serenity. They would probably not get along that well if they were not constantly in trouble and up against the rest of the world. Nothing brings a group of people (be it crew, tribe, clan, community or family) closer together than a common cause or better yet a common enemy (even if it is a TV network  ).
