So....I'm in the thick of The Losing Side, Saved You in the War, and a fanfic satire....and what do I do but go and write another story. Fortunately, this one was short. Last Stand was inspired by an online chat with ncbrowncoat where the subject of the defenders of the Alamo came up, and she was telling me how strongly Texans feel about the defenders. Got me thinking, and a fic was born. The Wikipedia entry "laconic" also provided inspiration (I like saying 'inspiration' better than 'I stole from a Wikipedia entry'). The Greeks were laconic, did you know that? So....I did what I do when I can't stop thinking about something....I wrote a story. :D

Wow, has it been long. How is everyone? Much has happened since March of this year. A much to much. Boy, has this place slowed down. What have I been into recently? Working. Not fun to need money. Give me serenity any day. I've done a lot of writing, and my mind has done much developing. Get a hold of me some time. I miss my shiny friends!

Looks like I have to link to it on Myspace, since the blog system on FFF is currently FUBAR and won't accept the entry. :finger: So here ya go:

Nimen dou hao, wode da jia... Just wanted to let you all know that I am now officially "off the market." I got married this past Saturday. She's not officially a Browncoat but she likes to go shooting and in the afternoon after the Nikah (Islamic wedding announcement) we were at her place, she turns on her TV and we see the movies scheduled for 4pm, and -- I'm takin' it as a Sign -- HBO is showing the BDM at 4pm, so we settle in to watch. We miss the opening with the Operative, but turn the TV on in time to see Serentiy descending through atmo as the main theme cranks up. Figure it's only a matter of time, tho, & she'll be understanding all my Chinese swearin'... -- Jonathan M.A. Ghaffar
