So lets see, he doesn't pay so I can't pay the house payment, his kid ends up on the street so then we go to court and he ends up in jail. yeah that works dumbass guess I need to go call my lawyer now. what a dumbass

COSMICFUGITIVE

The Edinburgh Festival is electric at this time of year. Big named actors, and undiscovered talent flock to the capital for a couple weeks. Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson), Christian Slater, Charlize Theron are a few celebs that spring to mind. Hell, Ricky Gervais once took over Edinburgh castle for his show. The proceeding fringe festival is cool too, and it REALLY bugs the hell out of me. There’s a cultural/entertainment explosion happening on my doorstep, and never enough time or money to check it out. There’s no excuse not to. The capital is a 20 min train journey away, and I LOVE cultural entertainment. In the past, I’ve enjoyed watching the street performers. The Native American musicians that I saw back in ’06 were awe-inspiring. I still listen to the CDs I picked up that day. There was a different performer who used the same area, but that was another fest. He was an Aussie guy that juggled flaming sticks and stuff. He cracked jokes, and was great at working the crowd. The place is chock full of international flavour. However, I’ve never gone to any of the pre booked theatre performances, music and stand up gigs. I've always thought that it would be too much of a hassle and pretty expensive. Lately, I've been going a bit stir crazy. Granted, I've got Collectormania on the 23rd, but that isn't something to shout about. I might not fully enjoy it, as the guest list keeps switching up. A couple of guests who I was already looking forward to, have cancelled. So, I thought: 'Fuck it. I'm going to a FRINGE show. I'm sick of holding back all my cash for the 23rd. Conventions aren't the be all and end all. I'm allowed to do other stuff.' These kind of decisions work out fine though. Like an overadventurous cat landing on its feet. Thankfully, I'm not completely wreckless in the wallet department. Money is something that I'm fairly sensible with. I'm a bit sceptical that things have worked out the way they have. Come Friday, I'm expecting to be hit by a bus, or one of those bicycle rickshaws, en route to the venue. xD Regaining my sanity, I scored a ticket for this comedy improv gig:

Well I bought TSCC on dvd the other day and was completely blew away by it, as I had only watched it on poor quality Internet videos. I know it has another season and it starts soon so I can't wait. I decided to go back to my fanfic Someone to carry you and I looked out my plan for chapter one liked it alot and proceed to start writing it, I realized quickly there after that I could not write it for the simple reason that I had not watched firefly nor was I entirely sure what I wanted to write. I decided to take a trip into the blue sun room. Big mistake, after I read a few chapters of a fanfic I had been enjoying and then a few of other ones. I lost all confidence in my fanfic. I mean with so many great fanfics out there how could mine compete? No idea what am going to do now. oh and just a word about my favorite Girl Summer Glau, I keep saying her name when singing "Holy Mother" how weird is that?

So I'm reading my glorious Volume 2 Visual Companion that I recieved yesterday and there are so many translations of ta ma de...a different one in each episode script almost! So interesting and a little confusing! And Jayne's fav adjective is spelled gorramN! With an 'n'! I have never seen it spelled that way in any of the fics I've read...I'm learning so much!!! SQUEE! How much do I love Adam Baldwin for bringing so many of his own ideas to the character of Jayne!

Sometimes I look at the real world discussions on this page and I think to myself 'Am I even part of this world that these people are talking about?' Because I live alone I have to answer myself aswell, and the answer is 'No' The questions about England turning into a 1984 reality show and the fact that the biggest scandal about the upcoming US president is that he is either too wrinkly or too much of a celebrity throws the situation in my own country into harsh relief. I watched a movie called 'Blood diamond' a couple of months ago and what I got out of it is this: Leo DiCaprio's character gets the sympathy vote because his parents were barbarically killed back in the 80s in Zim. In comparison all the SA guys are monsters - while real SA people are being killed today. Crime is a complete terrorist here. We all look over our shoulders, all the time. The worst thing is that you don't notice it before you go to another country and get back to this beautiful but pretty scary place. Don't mind me, I'm just going through a spot of depression. Around this time is the 11 year anniversary of my cousin's murder. He was 18. He was shot in the stomach and left to bleed to death on the highway. The whole thing was rather highlighted when one of my friends ran into a cash-in-transit heist last friday and had to lie down next to the highway and watch the guys with the AK-47s run past after killing the only man who tried to stand up to them. Yeah, it's personal when it becomes part of your daily life. But as narcissistic as my little ramblings are, they gave me some relief. Which I suppose is the point. Damn, sometimes this place gets me down. Tomorrow, I will be positive again.
