Well, I dunno. On Sunday, my Internet connection conked out, so I had to go at it on the school connection, which doesn't support Youtube :disapointed:. Meh. I know that you all missed me just SO. But, in better news, I apparently will be able to save two hundred dollars over the summer (Read, my Mom, who pays for the Karate) by doing cheap labor that Kristen is too lazy to do. Meh. Life's better... but it still ain't no party :tongue:! -Danny

Saturday May 5th: There were plans to go to a dance at 9PM. The dance had [b]"Though the Looking Glass"[/b] as a theme. Peter was up around 10 but I didn't get up till 1:30. We still had to get our costumes together. He had already decided to do a military costume made from his old Neo coat. I cut & hemmed his coat and started pulling things out of the closet to figure out what I was going to dress as. Peter suggest I wear my old Duelist Anthy military-esque costume I made a couple years ago because he was basing his costume off that one anyways. After some finagling he decides "HOLY FRAK" we should be the Queen of Heart's Royal Guards. I heartily agreed and ran off to the fabric store at 6PM to pick up some red satin. I return and got to sewing. Peter printed the patches and we pulled old hats and belts from the closet. It was the best closet cosplay ever. While we were there the Queen called us sexy and had ordered us come on stage to dance. Everyone cheered :D We've decided we liked these so much we have got to take them to Dragoncon for more fun. MAVOURNEEN

For several months, I have posted that I was "working" about 20 hours a week in my job that is supposed to be 40 hours a week. Well, the hammer dropped yesterday and I was downsized. Laid off. The furniture company simply couldn't support 2 full time office workers. There is only enough work for one, and I didn't have the seniority. People in DC just aren't buying the hyper expensive furniture they once were. I am thankful that my boss clearly spelled out that it had nothing to do with my performance. He has always been pleased with my dedication to his company. He will be giving me a glowing letter of rec, and other managers were equally flattering. I am also grateful he waited to let me go until Kevin got a job. The next 72 hours will find me scurrying to find a new position. We can't afford for me to be out of work for very long. My 2 weeks' severance pay won't last very long, especially as we were on the edge due to Kevin's unemployment. Please keep me in your thoughts as I struggle to find a job in this tough market, against the flood of college students looking for jobs as well. *hugs* to my Browncoat family.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! At 'bout 3am this morning my husband's best friend, Steveo, and his wife, Jamie, welcomed into the world their 1st child. I'm proud to introduce Cassidy Rose Wheatley!
