As the alias would suggest, I've been watching Joss Whedon's work very closely since the original Buffy movie. I'd only seen a few Firefly eps. when they were broadcast - I think Fox used the same dartboard to schedule Firefly that they used with Futurama. It was when I saw Serenity and then Firefly on DVD that I realized just how stupid the execs at Fox where.
This is Star Trek, folks. Not the pretty new one with the expensive budget and funny foreheads, no, the oldschool one. The one that was cancelled after a very short run by clueless network execs who didnt understand what it was doing.
Well, like Star Trek, this show is being kept alive by fans who are far brighter than the in-the-know network execs (you gave Fran Dresher another TV show? WHY?), and, damnit, I want another movie!
