Hello fellow Browncoats! I'm relatively knew to the verse' as i just got introduced via the BDM. My real name's Emily and i'm a 14 year old high school teenager. But that doesn't mean i'm stupid. I understand the BDS and the BDM completely. And i may be unable to drive and yes... maybe i'm moneyless... but that doesn't mean i'm not completely dedicated to the cause of bringing our beloved Firefly back. I remember when i first saw the movie i had went with my parents. I could tell my Dad completely did NOT get the story one bit and my Mom wasn't much better (though i knew she understood it farely well) Well that's mostly cuz my dad's not the intellectual type but not the point. When i saw Serenity in theaters i knew it was really something. At the time i could already feel myself becoming obsessed. I'm pretty known for being a very avid fan for anything i becom obsessed with. I was about 13 at this time so i didn't grasp the entire full meaning of the story yet but i had a fairly good idea. Though i must say the part where Mal and Book are talking in the scene at Haven... had no idea what they were talking about. Guess i wasn't experienced with the Firefly lingo at the time is all. I didn't REALLY get into Firefly until i asked my sister to buy the box set for my birthday. I'm pretty sure she thought i was crazy cuz at the time i didn't even know exactly what Firefly was. I just knew it was tied into the movie and it had to be good. After waiting for a good 2 weeks for my box to come and tearing it open and popping a dvd into my tv and promptly watching it in 2 days... i was hooked. After watching Objects in Space i grew very depressed knowing there was no more Firefly or Serenity to speak of. I withdrew from the verse' at this point and... 5 months later i'm right back in Firefly/Serenity more obsessed than ever. More obsessed than i was with Charmed in 7th grade... Which many believe is quite impossible believe me. Well i'm a freshman now at Trabuco Hills High School in sunny CA. I swear i may be the only Browncoat in the whole school but i don't care. I'm working on converting some of my friends and "as sure as i know anything we WILL BRING FIREFLY BACK." (The Signal aka Big Damn Podcast)
