"Profit" to DVD on 8/9/05

If you like Angel, you might like Profit, the series David Greenwalt created (and yes, cancelled by FOX) before working with Joss. It's got the same kind of backstabbing, mind-twisting plots that we've come to know and love in Angel, except more of it. It's coming on August 9, 2005, and can be ordered from Amazon. I've never seen this, but I'll be getting it since it has the touch of Greenwalt. I thought it would have been awesome if their intention to have Profit appear as a senior lawyer in W&H had actually happened.

I've never heard about the intention to have Profit show up as a W&R lawyer. Wow! That would be completely fitting.

Hey, thanks for the link and the article! That just tied 2 of my favorite shows together so perfectly. I wish they had been able to do it. You've made my day.

Once you've seen Profit, you'll understand. Imagine W&H as a spinoff series from Angel, subtract the supernatural, and add details of W&H lawyers backstabbing each other, and you've got Profit. It is truly one of the cleverest shows I've ever seen. That was the first time I cursed FOX for cancelling something so brilliant.

Yeah, it would have been great, even though I wouldn't have known he was from another show until later.

They did manage a reference to Miracles in S4 (another Greenwalt show) - but nothing so big as a cast crossover. One of the few things I actually like about S4... ;)
