Hey all

I live in the UK but I'm off to New York this month for a little trip - 4 days mooching - originally planned to co-inside with the BDM but, of course, the w*nkers changed the date!

Last time I went to NY was 7 years ago and it was snowing so heavily the snow was higher than I was, all the roads were closed and we mostly sledged (query: an actual word?).

So can anyone suggest cool places (let’s face it, bars/ restaurants) for a Browncoat to visit? I may do some cultural stuff too, if anyone’s got any weird places I could swing by . . .

All suggestions most gratefully received. . .

Damn, Zoot! I just saw this thread (about 2 months too late). I live in NYC along with a bunch of other crazy browncoats. We would have loved to have taken you out and shown you around our little corner of the 'verse. Well, I hope you had a nice trip and some wacky fun in NYC!

Yeah, I found this thread just after I'd come back from my trip to NYC (again from the UK). So apologies from me too - hope you had a nice time. This was my second (well, technically third) trip and has got to rate as my best holiday ever - saw Duran Duran at MSG (nice of them to play especially for us English girls), watched the Knicks (lose), Broadway play (Wicked), movie tour, met Vincent Kartheiser, spent $67.00 on FOUR drinks in the Plaza...

OK, now I want to go again. Plus I'm out of Reese's Cups.

Aw!! Thanks for the message to both Whedonesque and Fray - thought everyone was just ignoring me (paranoia is only ever a heartbeat away)!!

Had a fab time thanks, not that it wouldn't have been superb to meet up with some Browncoats - but never mind - forced my friend to see Hitchikers in the hopes that they might show the trailer!

Saw some freaky show off Broadway called "Shock-headed Peter" - lots of puppets etc and was really sunny on the Sunday so went to a ball game - I hate all sports but could seriously get to like baseball! I read my book (a Michael Chabon classic - superb) looked up every time someone hit a ball or ran to a base and ate stuff - plus I look damn good in a baseball cap!!

I also bought many, many pairs of shoes - the pound to dollar ratio is just outstanding!!

Anyhoo! Thanks for reassuring me that people do occasionally read my posts!!
