I'm sure I won't mind seeing it 3 weeks in a row. :)

As big a fan as I am, I doubt even I'll be able to watch 21 straight viewings of Serenity. But, who can say for sure ?

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

Hi new to here!
i will do what i did with LOTR and S.W.A.T. and go see it at least 7 times at the cinema!!
each time you see it something new appears that you did not see or hear before that is the magic!!!!!

So far, Jurassic Park and LOTR are 1 & 2 in my 'most times seen in a theatre' list. If Serenity matches either.... that will be something.

And welcome CaptainMo. Shiny! Always good news to hear of new recruits!

Well, doing this math in my head made me smile:

3 movies * 2.5 hours/movie (let's hope!)= 7.5 hours

7.5 hours / 45 minutes/episode = 10 episodes

So, three decent-length movies would be about the same amount of material as 10 new episodes.

Given that the series is only 14 episodes (+1 for the pilot being double length), we'd be looking at a movie franchise that rivals the amount of content it is based on.

Somehow, there's some kind of irony in that...

I'm really proud of myself. Having bought the DVD box set in December '04, but only watching the entirety of the series this January... I've finally realized the greatness of this show, and I've become a full-blown Browncoat. Hell, I'm even trying to make Mal's coat to wear around. ^^

Not only that, but I've made 8 people full-on Browncoats (even one who at first thought she would hate the show.) One of them has bought the DVD set, and 2 others are considering it. All of them and myself are going to the midnight premiere of the movie, and promoting it (even subconsciously) to everyone we can. I've got another 3-4 people interested in watching the show, and they'll most likely go with the lot of us in the subsequent weeks to see the movie again. Then, the week after, I'll probably go see it with my family.

I've never had this much interest in a fictional creation. I love the show, the cast and crew, and all the Browncoats out there!

WOO!! Browncoats unite. :D

Very impressive! I'm only responsible for 3 converts, though I'm still chiseling away at my brother. He reflexively hates anything by Joss Whedon - not that he's seen any of Joss' stuff, but just because it's been so hyped by all his friends. He has this weird hangup where he won't watch anything if people speak too highly of it. A tough case, but I'm thinking I can get him into a brown coat sooner or later.

Welcome to the Browncoat scene! You sound like a mighty and powerful ally. :)

Hi Gorramzero and welcome. You are one super shiny Browncoat to make that many converts in so little time. Keep up the great work.

Are you in the US? Will you be attending DragonCon in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend? Adam, Nathan and Morena will be attending. www.dragoncon.org.

Thanks. ^^

I am in the US, I live near Chicago, IL. I'm trying to get a group of 10 of my friends to go to DragonCon, as well as make costumes. We're working hard on it, and if we can raise enough money, we'll all be going in costume.

Since I've only recently become a Browncoat, I haven't yet gotten the chance to see any of the cast/crew at a con, so I'm really pumped!! I hope we can all go.

BrownCoat1 that's a truly wonderful plan.

I'll get the word out to my ten loyal readers...though they're all browncoats, never hurts to remind them.
