Picked this up on the way home to brood - nothing says single like message board posting on 14 Feb

Worth it for the remixed main theme alone - but then the soundtrack stuff kicks off.

Some real action queues from season 4, very T2 with the discordant beats, then its into Home - complete tonal shift as Angel watches Connor leave, Hero from well, "Hero". Very cool stuff - the music definitely stands up alone on its own. Have to say, I'm not really interested in the songs at the end, but I'm sure I'll enjoy listening to them.

Is it too late to throw Kral's hat into the ring for Serenity?

Yup. picked up the soundtrack today also. I've really enjoyed what I've listened to so far especially Christophe Beck's "Im Game" score from "City of" and Christian Kanes "LA Song" from "Dead End"

Despite my previous post, having got to the songs, I really liked Touched and L.A. Song. I'm still of the opinion that the Lorne songs really work better in the episodes (or on their own album the title's ready made on track 24).

Excellent choice to end with A Place Called Home though.

I've got to agree with you there about the Lorne songs. I do enjoy most of the songs he has sung however these dont really go with the overall style and feel of the rest of the songs on the album. I think I'd quite enjoy a Lorne CD especially if it included that get here if you can song... The names not coming to me at the moment but i really enjoyed him singing that.

You say the title you win the prize - Get Here If You Can - Oleta Adams I think.

There's a soundtrack?!

Where is it available? (I can't seem to find it on Amazon or Indigo).

I think this day just got much better !

Edit: Nevermind, I found it at amazon.co.uk. Darn. Off to look into foreign shipping rates...

I wasn't actually looking for it, but Music Zone over here was displaying it very predominantly for what is essentially a soundtrack album, so having gone in for the Bloc Party album, I picked it up as well. Not sure what the release pattern is in the States I'm afraid.

Ahh... that's how I found one of the Buffy soundtracks a while ago, one of those "hey what's that?" moments. Hopefully there'll be a US release date, but I'd settle for a Canadian one (although its rare we get something the US doesn't).

Anyway, thanks for the info!!
