Thanks, RexRaygun. I'm pleasantly surprised at how in-depth the TV Tome coverage is for JLU. TV Tome has a tendency to be ripe with errors and misspellings, but the JLU editor is doing a great job. Thanks for the tip.

]).It's not unlike the seiyuu (celebrity voice-actors) in Japan. It's less about the character than about the seiyuu, which is why I'm personally not all that fanatic about the sub/dub issue; many Japanese voices don't really suit the characters (IMHO, of course), they're just there for star power. Kinda the voice-acting equivalent of much Hollywood "talent," actually (which of course means that there are some truly talented individuals, but the talent itself isn't a prerequisite).
Celebrities are fine for guest spots or to drum up sweeps-week ratings, but the multi-voiced actors still get more work.
