as we are all well aware, there are moments in all three of our shows that we discuss here that have an underlying theme of extreme seriousness and yet are written in such a way to make them humorous at the same time. yesterday's angel rerun was a good example. wes wants to know more about a prophecy concerning angel's son and he gets a magic powder from a wizard and follows the directions to talk to a higher being. after finding the location of the higher being, he ends up confronting......... a drive thru hambuger statue?! hilarious. i loved it. any more moments like this that people can think of?
there are certainly many of them!

I like the one in Buffy, "Selfless"
D'Hoffryn (to Willow): Ahh...the flaying of Warren Mears, masterful work. Lloyd has a sketch of it on his wall.
PsychicRiver
"Two by two, hands of blue."
"We can take care of each other. I'll knit!"

The talking hamburger is one of the best scenes in Angel's entire run.
Hands down.

when angel has to rescue that guy from the hell dimension to get wolfram and hart to stop hurting cordelia and he first meets skip. i love that. skip is so "friendly". "hi. how're you doin'? name's skip". makes me laugh.

If you ever listen to the commentary on the episode they explain the creation of "Skip" it's very insightful.

Good but...

Spike pronounces dew as 'doo' i.e. the Americanised pronounciation. Just bugs me.
