A fox executive had a personal grievance against Joss Whedon because he never gave Jar-Jar a cameo.

OK, the real question is how did Firefly get cancelled after 1/2 season but "The Simple Life" is starting season 3.
That's what I want to know.

Single-line, fictional response as to why Firefly was cancelled...
