"David Boreanaz is preparing for his return to the small screen. The actor will star in a new drama pilot for ABC based on the life of an undercover cop posing as hit man named Jack Ballantine. The alphabet network has ordered a pilot and could order the show to go to series, with broadcast possibly in the fall of 2005."

You know, as much as I'm going to love seeing David back on TV, this news leaves me with a kind of bitter taste in my mouth. Ever since the cancellation of "Angel", David has been saying how he wouldn't go back to that role if it were on TV, he'd only go back if it was for a big screen movie. What happened to focusing on film career? Now it sounds more and more like he just didn't want anything more to do with the "Angel" role, which is sad, because it's the role that made him a star.

Yeah, but different people like different things. It really is his choice. If he doesn't want to do Angel except on the big screen, but he's willing to do other TV work, so be it. I just hope that the show's good enough to give him another long run...

In his defense, he had no career before he became Angel, and he was at that for 8 years. That's a long time to play one character when you're never played much else, even if it is such a great role.

I hope they let him do some comedy mixed in with the drama. I always loved the Angel episodes that allowed him to stretch his comedy acting chops.

Actually , it looks like he's trying to give the movie thing a run. Maybe he's found that TV is more his thing. Some people juggles geese. The question is will he wear a dark trenchcoat? I just see alot of potentail for David B to get stuck in this dark guy who's a good guy mode. I hope not. But if the shoe fits?
