Hi all. Anyone who is in New England might want to know there is a Buffy sing along next friday night at the Coolidge Corner Theatre at midnight. The show is free. Details below.
Queer Soup, creators of underground theatre sensation "Buffy the Vampire Slayer's High School Reunion" join us in person for a special sing-a-long show of the classic musical episode of Joss Whedon's beloved cult TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We'll have goodie bags full of interactive activities (and plastic vampire teeth, of course), subtitles so you can join in the singing, and our ringleader cast who will guide us through two of the best episodes of our favorite televison show: "Once More With Feeling" (aka, the musical episode) and "Hush".
If you plan on going let me know and maybe we can meet there. I'll be running in from a day with General Clark :D, so might be a bit late since I will be coming back from the Jefferson Jackson in Manchester, NH.

Look forward to hearing about the sing along! We had one fellow Bostonian at the PA Shindig who played a mean trombone. The theme from Firefly never sounded so good! Wish I could remember his name. Got to look at the pictures again.
Have fun.

i'll tell u all about it! except turns out my sister is coming in that night...but whatever:) i'm still going! no power in the verse can keep me from that singalong lol:) i love the episode choice, since joss has often said that hush and omwf go together, as they are both about how when the talking stops, communication can really happen.

I was the Bostonian, but not the trombone player. We are two different folks last time I checked. :P
Lissa have you signed up for the new NE Browncoats Yahoo group yet? If so I will let you know how to ID me there along with the rest of the folks. I will at least wear my pair of small metalic birding binoculars around my neck. Figure no one else will wear something like that. Also maybe we should "tune up" with the Ballad of Serenity. You know just wander around the crowd signing it until you find another browncoat. :P

Yeah I only remember about half the people's names. We really should have. Ah well.

ok, depending on how hot it is in the theater, i'll either be wearing a blue flowered tank top or a fuzzy white sweater. oh, and i'm short and blond with glasses. and hopefully i'll be winning the buffy trivia contest to win the dark willow action figure that i want so badly
did you know they're actually showing 3 eps??? the third will apparently be chosen by the audience.
if i don't see u during the thing, we'll HAVE to find each other after! but if you're gonna be a tad late, maybe i'll see u coming in:)

Sounds good. I will be there with two friends. I too am short and have glasses, but dark hair. Shouldn't be too late, but ya never know when politicians get speaking. One thing they like to do is talk.

Yah I looked for ya too, but there was quite a crowd. That was so much fun. I am glad they are going to do it again. I am sure we will meet at either tomb, this weekend's high stakes fundraiser or something else soon. Have fun with your sister.

Look forward to hearing more.

Lord, we have no children so I tend to forget how old I really am! I could have a child in college???? It's just wrong.... thanks for the reminder....
On a brighter note, I lived one year on Comm Ave, one year on Beacon Street (long treck to school...) and two on Linden Street in Brookline. Never in the dorms, I was a transfer student.
Have fun!!!
