OKAY! another line in the angel finale that i understand better now (keep in mind i have not seen any episodes from season 5 except the 3 that have aired in reruns on TNT and the finale):

Select to view spoiler:

in tonight's rerun, angel helps a woman who is attacked my a werewolf but he gets there too late and she is bitten and turns. in the car with fred, the woman asks about angel's dating life.
in the finale:
angel goes to see connor before the showdown with the circle. the conversation:
connor: so, she's a werewolf
angel: and an art student. she does great pottery. she made me a vase.
connor: but it's the wolf part that jones' you. there's some full moon love, am i right? fur flying.
so angel is talking about nina? crazy. i guess she shows up in another episode or two before the end of season 5. interesting.....

anyway....

The last line there is one of the worst ever in the history of Angel. What were they thinking?

Oh, that's easy: it was Connor. Everytime we see him (after the brainwashing) he's obsessed with the sex life of our heroes. Remember, at first he compares Angel to an Anne Rice vampire.

I highly doubt, from everything we see of Angel/Nina, that anything kinky goes on (well, besides the attempted puppet slaughtering, and that was hardly Angel's fault).

Would they have gotten there eventually? Maybe, but I don't think they were there yet.

'Sides, didn't Angel himself kinda deny that comment?
