and video games look better in the post Covid world, they might do more video game to box office movie
as comicbook films go it is doing good but its not Minecraft numbers
but its doing a heck of a lot better than all those other failures, The Marvels, Joker, Snow White etc

It needs $470 Million to break even. $272 Million after 10 days is not very likely to get it there.

Sinners just blew past Blacktain Anti-America on the domestic totals and Thunderbolts will never catch up.
It's a shame it didn't get much of an international release, or it would be an even bigger double-embarrassment for Disney right now.

so far its one of the biggest movies of the year but with such a terrible year for Hollywood profits thats not saying much
it came out in Japan early May 2025 which is unusual, typically there are slow release dates around the world
let's assume it stays in the cinema for some more weeks, even runs to near end of June almost start of July?
Upcoming movie releases Mission Impossible, F1, some K-Pop thing, M3GAN 2.0, How to Train Your Dragon, 28 Years Later...

If I were Hollywood, I wouldn't just take away "comics are dead, video games are where it's at".
You had 3 money-making video game movies in as many years now in Hollywood (Super Mario, Five Nights and Freddy's, Minecraft), and if you want to go into the streaming shows, you hand one good series with Fallout.
Should I put together a list of all of the recent box office and streaming failures based off of video games?
(The Last of Us could have saved itself from its fate, but they chose death a 2nd time).
