There's no retreat taking place, Ted.
If you haven't noticed, your Minnesota Governor, Ilhan Omar and Jacob Frey have been silenced. All of your white college "educated" terrorists have been removed from the streets of Minnesota and we went in and got all the criminal illegals out of the prisons with no resistance after they were DESTROYED.
Now we're moving on to other cities to get the worst out, before SCOTUS makes rulings this summer that will see deportations rise to levels you never even imagined were possible. We're cleaning up everything, everywhere, and by the end of Trump's term ALL illegals will be removed from their country, even their kids.

Your party's biggest mistake was going full-boar on all of this during COVID. People are frustrated and rightfully so. MAGA's approach is the approach of ignorant angry people. They have sided with the people who have denied their needs all these years. A worker's rights law takes effect. Great it works. It is 8 pages long. Two decades later it is a thousand pages long. While the concept of the law and the benefits of the law are apparent, it eventually becomes overburdensome. As time goes by, the law is never revisited to be updated and streamlined so it doesn’t stifle growth. Fixing it is smart. Destroying everything is stupid and self-defeating. Sometimes we need to move fast and break things, and when doing so, we should always know what not to break. MAGA fucked up big time. I have no use for people who want to destroy everything because they are unhappy. Fuck them, they are helping to destroy people's lives. All they do is destroy, bleat and blather.
