This makes me wonder about the latest 'Apes' flick, like 'The Fall Guy' it's getting great reviews, are people tired of the franchise? Are you going to set up a 'Apes' failure thread

Heh... Yeah.
Pretty sure that there is going to be an Apes failure thread too. That really all depends on the budget, but I think we've got enough data on 2024 movies by now to know how that one is going to go.
I'll admit that I'm biased there though. I never cared for the original movies, and what little I saw of anything made in that franchise while I was alive interested me very little.
Except, of course, a 2001 Estella Warren in her prime.

It don't matter that the movie was leaked only 17 days into its run. It's only made $127,434,485 worldwide after 3 weekends in release, and it had an additional week head start in quite a few territories. It's already a massive failure for Universal.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire already had $138,164,000 worldwide after its 3rd weekend with no international head start. Frozen Empire cost $25 Million less to make and it is going to lose Sony around $50 Million.

1) If I purchase a ticket at the multi-cinema, and then go into the wrong theater, watch for 2 minutes then leave and go on to watch the right movie, did I steal a movie?
2) Let's make it more abstract. If a pirate, not me, does the same thing, did I steal the movie if I don't place handcuffs on that pirate and have the theater management call the police?

6ix, if you answered "YES" to any of the above 3 questions, you might be a retard.
Every movie at the theaters is also available for free on TV. This is one of two major reasons why ticket sales are declining. The other reason? The Fall Guy movie is recycled crap from a canceled TV show also called The Fall Guy.
Nearly all movies are crap and always have been since the days of silent movies, but now you get crap for free on TV. That would tend to decrease ticket sales to more sophisticated audiences while teenagers, the epitome of unsophisticated consumers of crap, continue to buy tickets.
