Until, I think, Unforgiven, EVERY Clint Eastwood film had horrible critic reviews, and often the critics could be caught admitting they never even watched the films which they gave bad scores to.

Arnold, John Wayne, Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Harrison Ford, Bronson, Newman, McQueen, Nolte films never got decent reviews.
Your best bet for a movie choice was to find the one with the worst reviews - and it would be a wonderful film.

Some "critics" wrote books, which were compilations of their most horrible writings.
In the mid-90s, Leonard Maltin wrote a bad review for one of the best films of the year, A Little Princess (one of the best remakes in history). It was obvious that he had never seen the film.
When he published his book, he wrote a completely opposite "review" - and made some mention that after audiences LOVED the movie, he "went back and watched it again" and changed his summary/review, to a glowing one.
But this was commonplace among "critics"

I recall that, in the 1980's, I actually found a "critic" who had worthwhile reviews - if she said it was good, then it really was. She worte for a paper which had an affiliation with Santa Monica, CA - maybe it was "Santa Monica Times" or somesuch.
She was an extremely rare find.

Can you imagine in a decade or two from now how these critics and generally anybody with TDS and Wokeitis are going to look back and be embarrassed by their awful behavior?

They're going to lose decades of their life to this.

I don't think this will be a 'Great' movie but it might show a disconnected between critics and people who watch and enjoy movies

Critics Have Seen Five Nights At Freddy’s the posh critics writing articles for newspapers and magazines seem to hate it

but Fans seem to Like it

it has some good buzz so I do not believe it will flop

A big wide divide between critics and the audience opinion

A flop is an impossibility already. With a $25 Million budget and $40 Million already in the bank, there's no alternate timeline where this thing doesn't make 2.5 times its production budget in the US alone by Sunday night.

I'm just hoping that it was better than Willy's Wonderland. There's lots of crazy lore to this franchise and if they did it right it can be a good movie franchise too.

Either way they're happy though. They already are going to make bank off of this even if it wasn't any good.

Oh... And I know that I've mentioned it in here before, probably on one of my threads regarding woke and probably several years ago, but the guy who made the FNAF video games walked away from them before finishing them after he was attacked by the pink haired weirdo potbelly vampire brigade on Twitter after somebody dug up that he was a conservative and he had donated to some Conservative campaigns. After somebody doxxed him, he said it wasn't worth it anymore and just apologized to his fans before saying he was done making FNAF games.

I kind of forgot that was a thing that happened until ClownfishTV mentioned it today.

I agree with them. This probably explains a good deal of the low critic scores.
