The wife & I won free passes to catch the movie tonight at an advance screening. We are looking forward to it.

We loved it! It was ruttin' hi-larious! I laughed nearly through the whole thing. I may pick it up on DVD to have around for those nights when I need a good laugh.

Autumn says "hi" right back at you.

Just saw the show last night. Too funny!!! Haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time. A little over the top in places, but a overall good satire.

AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!

OMG, this was so great. It had this perfect balace of taking itself too seriously, while not taking itself seriously at all.

Hmmm... I have kinda mixed feelings about it. I've loved pretty much everything they've ever done so far, so maybe my expectations were a leeettle high going in.

Just didn't find the satire of the actors as sharp as their usual standard. Jeneane Garofalo says, "We just repeat what we read in the newspapers as if we thought of it ourselves" (a bit of a paraphrase)--huh? This is a crime? This is particularly stupid or hypocritical? None of the actor stuff seemed very pointed at all, now that I think about it. I think you'd have to be a really egomaniacal celeb to take any of it very personally. This from the creators of Mecha-Streisand? As Cartman would say, "...weak."

So I'd say I found it half totally hilarious and half kinda horrible. "Hey, I got an idea, you know how the extreme right is always saying that the left supports terrorism and is playing right into the terrorists' hands by supporting peace? Let's make a movie where that comes true, won't that be a laugh!" It would have been a lot funnier if they were all out spies in league with Canada to overthrow the American government.

Loved the personal issues of Team America members though! "I treasure your friendship, Chris" "I treasure your friendship, too, Lisa." Loved Kim Jong Il's big solo (and the one at the end of the credits). And you gotta love the vomit scene (I finally understand the phrase "passed out in a pool of his own vomit").

HKCavalier

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

I haven't seen it yet, but Ebert and Roeper split on it over the weekend. I liked Roeper's position more, though (he was "thumbs-up"), so I'll probably go see it.

I can now say what the funniest movie ever made was. Oh god, the barfing scene, I nearly fell off my seat from laughter, literally.

What I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you.

I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did watching this movie. I loved all of the Kim Jong Il parts and everything about the actors and acting in general, and the sex scene had me in stitches. But the songs may have been the best part for me. I mean writing an entire song about how bad Pearl Harbor: The Movie sucked, priceless.

Someone above mentioned Ebert & Roeper reviewing the movie. I did not see that show, but I read Ebert's review. He took it way too seriously.
