I think that Russell Brand has the best take on the incident that I've seen... And I've seen quite a few of them.
The Glamour of Hollywood officially died Sunday night.
And when he says Glamour, he's not talking about the magazine. He means it in the archaic definition of enchantment and magic.
If they can't even hold the bubble of the fake world that they all pretend to believe in for 2 hours on TV on the most ridiculous night of the year, maybe they should just stop trying.
He also alludes to the same thing with Sports and Music as well as Hollywood.
It's all gotten far too big and far too commercial.
