A Fox News contributor with 1.3 million followers tweeted that she heard a woman may have been "seriously injured or killed."
She tweeted an apology on Saturday for sharing false information — but her original post had already been amplified widely. CBC has received a number of calls asking about the person allegedly killed by a horse.
Interim Ottawa police chief Steve Bell told reporters Saturday that protesters are engaging in misinformation during this police action.
"Almost immediately there were tweets, there were pictures that had been photoshopped, out on social media that indicated people had died," said Bell. "That the horses had run over someone with a walker in the crowd."
He did say that the two people who fell down "immediately got back up and started to engage in their protest and demonstration activity."
Ottawa police say no one was seriously injured by the use of horses.

I've never even heard of her before. As I've said all along, I'm no fan of FOX News. I view FOX as the equal and opposite to CNN and to a lesser extent MSNBC. Just the same Evil in a different disguise.
It's why I'm disgusted that Tucker Carlson is on there. I've seen him do long-form interviews with people where he can talk for an hour at a time without the bullshit 5-minute segments the cable networks push in between their real goal to sell advertising slots and I like the guy outside of that format. But he's tainted now. Even if he left FOX News, the stench will never come off of him, and not only will nobody outside of people who already watch FOX News will ever take anything he says seriously, but he can actually make a lot of people automatically believe the exact opposite of whatever he says simply because he said it.
There is no actual Journalism going on at any of the cable news networks. It's all narratives being pushed under the guise of editoralism.

One of my all-time favorite shows was Due South, about a Canadian Mounties befriending a Chicago Homicide Detective.
One episode had a case involving the Canadian Mafia. The jokes were made, "what, do they have Organized Littering? Conspiracy to Jaywalk?"
