Military called in, Defence Minister Peter Dutton earlier said people shouldn’t be intimidated by the presence. Greater Sydney and surrounding regions are in lockdown until at least August 28.
Masks now are also mandatory at all times - including outdoors in sunshine and the fresh air.

US is considering doing the same thing.
They'd better let any soldier who won't take it leave the military without a dishonorable discharge or even worse AWOL status.
This would be a GROSS change of terms of the initial contract.
And the right thing to do would be to prorate any GI Bill or any other perks instead of holding them hostage. But they almost certainly won't do that.
