My point was to KIKI, and that was reacting to online trolls is pointless. As long as they confine themselves to mere assholeness, there's no point in carrying on a vendetta.
People can only be threatened with REAL LIFE consequences to WHAT THEY POST IF THEY CROSS THE LINE INTO POSTING SOMETHING ILLEGAL IN REAL LIFE, LIKE MAKING TERRORIST THREATS (ILLEGAL), DOXXING PEOPLE (ILLEGAL) OR LIBEL (WHICH BTW IS ALSO ILLEGAL) OR THREATENING THE PRESIDENT (MY FIRST EXAMPLE, which I had hoped would make my point clear, but apparently you didn't seem to get the point, SIX). Otherwise, there is no way to effectively punch back online, and if you're dealing with a troll ... well, getting pissed off at them is ineffective at best and counterproductive at worst.
