Yep, the daily new "cases" in Gibralter have surged! From 61 to 70!
Well ... OK. Gibralter is small. Seems only appx 33,600 people live there. So the "new case" count is rather high, when expressed per 100,000.
To make the math simple, just multiply "cases" by three. That's somewhere in the realm of 200 per 100,000.
OTOH, I've often said that "cases" is an unreliable figure. So, since the vaccine was never meant to reduce transmission, but to reduce the effects of infection, how amny people are actually DYING of Covid-19

NONE. A few days ago ... one. For many days before that ... NONE.

Unlike the previous peak in January, which was accompanied by a signficant spike in deaths, SO FAR, this latest spike in "cases" seems to be inconsequential. I guess the vaccine works, after all.

Maybe the "leaders" of Gibralter were surprised that people still got it after being vaccinated.
If all you do is listen to the lying Leftist Legacy Media, that's how they were selling it up until those Texas Democrats had "breakthrough" cases from fleeing Texas on that plane together.
As a media outlet, there is no other reason to add the adjective "breakthrough" to the noun cases, unless one of two things had occurred first...
1. The vaccines were designed from the beginning to prevent transmission.
2. The lying Media knew this wasn't the case but spent months telling everybody that it was, and now they had to backpedal and try to maintain whatever is left of their crumbling credibility.

New reporting in Politico this week details the Trump regime's de facto acts of democide against the American people, based on the congressional release of "emails and transcripts with former senior CDC officials about the White House's attempts to sideline the agency at critical moments" early in the pandemic:
The emails and transcripts detail how in the early days of 2020 Trump and his allies in the White House blocked media briefings and interviews with CDC officials, attempted to alter public safety guidance normally cleared by the agency and instructed agency officials to destroy evidence that might be construed as political interference.
The documents further underscore how Trump appointees tried to undermine the work of scientists and career staff at the CDC to control the administration's messaging on the spread of the virus and the dangers of transmission and infection.
As was reported last year, also by Politico, staffers at the Department of Health and Human Services sought changes in the CDC's weekly reports on COVID-19 "to align the summaries more closely with [Trump's] talking points".
America's collective shrug toward the Trump regime's acts of negligent homicide are a surrender to the normalization of deviance, another example of how heretofore unfathomable behavior becomes "acceptable" or "normal" to a large segment of the public.
