SIX:Meanwhile, in reality...
Fatality rate will be much, much lower than is ever reported because we will never have any idea how many hundreds of millions or even billions of people had it and never got tested.

SIGNY: Meanwhile, in the REAL real world, if you don't have enough ventilators, doctors, hospital beds, masks, and morgue space ... Houston, we have a problem. No matter how many tests are, or aren't, done.

SIX: I don't give a shit, Sigs.

Of course you don't, SIX. That's because you never really cared about anybody but yourself. So much for "Do right, be right"!

SIX: We've fucked the economy over this, and there's no going back from that.
Once this panic is over you're going to realize that pretty quickly.

SIX, the economy has been fucked six way from Sunday for a long, long, LONG time. Since before you were born! And it's just gotten more and more fucked as time went on.

TRUMP didn't do anybody any favors by encouraging the Fed to blow bigger and bigger speculative bubbles with low, low interest rates (that only benefited the wealthiest). But OBAMA didn't do anybody any favors by bailing out the banks and prosecuting no one. GWB didn't help things along by agreeing to China being included in the WTO, and ballooning the Federal deficit. CLINTON did a masterful job sucking China's and and bankers' dicks. It goes all the way back to ditching the gold standard, and even further back to the creation of the Fed. And even before that, to the control of government by big monopolies.

If you think things went sideways just recently, you haven't been paying attention!

The flaws have been there for a long time, the coronavirus just made them visible. I'm sorry if that interfered with your tiny plans and optimistic expectations!

YOU BETTER HOPE THIS KILLS A LOT OF PEOPLE.

1) Nobody is going to take the next one seriously if it doesn't.

2) We probably can't afford to do anything about it even if the next one is serious.

You fucking idiots blew the economy over nothing.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Fucking CARES Act cost 5.5 years worth of GWB military budgets.

And that's just to keep people from starving and killing each other for a few months, and barely does anything to address trying to fix the economy whenever the fuck people can go back to their lives.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Weren't you all for Universal Basic Income just a few short months ago? Because I distinctly remember doing the calculations and showing how it would not just "replace" all of the other government aid programs, it would eat up the entire Federal budget.

SIX, people should take a lesson from this:

1) Every adult and small business needs to be more self-reliant, and have a rainy day fund for hard times, STOP TAKING ON SO MUCH DEBT, and
2) Wear mask and wash your hands.

Social distancing is not a long-term solution, and it can't be applied as a bridge to a sucessful treatment or a vaccine, seeing as those are months, if not years, away.

We wouldn't have to go thru all of these money gyrations, all of these plans for "immunity cards" and central health database and the Bill Gates desire the control the world thru vaccination ... and the bank's desire to buy up the world thru defaulted loans ... if people would just take positive, common sense steps to protect themselves healthwise, economically, and financially. Freeze the lenders out, and get on with your lives.

Your response frankly puzzles me. You've got a real grotch about viruses because somebody scared you when you were a kid? That can't possibly the totality of the problem, because that's a lot like SECOND (one experience twists an entire lifetime) and you're not like SECOND at all.

It's not even a small bit of it. It's just a story Kevin tells because he doesn't want to tell the real reason.

When you look at his life, he's made a lot of really bad life decisions. He dropped out of college 4x, as he admits. But instead of thinking maybe he's got a problem, he's decided that anyone who's ever been to college, is going to college or will go to college, is making a really bad choice because college is a waste. He blew a couple of interviews and his teeth were going. So along with his ability (as he imagined) to figure out what buttons to push on people, his teeth and smile were what he thought of as the ace up his sleeve. So what did he do when that was threatened? Did he try to get his teeth fixed? Did he try to interview better? No, he went on a years long bender. And do you remember his trip out of drunk-posting? He went on, and on, and on about his niece. Well, she served her purpose as a prop I guess. But do you hear about her now? Ever? Maybe she counted on him. Maybe she didn't. But it's not any concern of his. She served the purpose. So, whatever happened to all that undying love? And after he got out of it? He decided to go for the lowest level of job there is, so he could outperform his coworkers so he could manipulate his bosses for penny ante stuff like preferred hours. And all he demands here is that everyone bow at the alter of his brilliance. God forbid anyone, let alone a female, be more educated, know more, or challenge him.

His stories are merely a diversionary tactic to keep you from looking objectively at his life.

If you want to know about Kevin, look at his life.

But yanno, one-note Kevin is BORING. Let's discuss something more interesting.

For example, I've been keeping up with cases and deaths data and specific events that might or might not change the course of the pandemic. ... The decision to not do as much testing, social distancing programs, mask-wearing in public, and so on, both here in LACounty as well as California in general. Some of those orders are coming up to a point where their effects might be seen in the data. It's 1-2 weeks for any change to show up in cases, and about 3-4 weeks for any change to show up in deaths. And then you need at least a week or two of data after that.

I haven't gotten to it yet!, but I'm going to calculate doubling time from before each event to one week after for cases, and then doubling time from one week after the event to one week after the next event. That would give doubling time before and after each event. If the event made a difference, one should see doubling time extend. And of course do the same thing for deaths, except extend the division time to 2 weeks after the event.

Yeah, it's crude, but then so are the numbers. And I want to get a feel for what's going on - what works and what doesn't.

lol

You got me, you dumb bitch.

I'm trying to hide the facts that I already told you.

You turned into a lunatic cunt when I denied AIDS was real, as if you have some personal stake in propagating that lie. You're the one with a problem here.

New York and other hot spots are getting longer coronavirus peaks than expected, expert says

"... places like New York seem to be stuck at the peak for longer than we originally expected," he added. "... It's not something that I think anybody expected to see where people would, instead of two or three days to peak, they're spending a longer period and then cases will start to come down."

"We're going to be establishing surveillance sites in some of the inner-city clinics that we have, and some of the indigenous population clinics, to ... try to identify and understand how much asymptomatic infection is there," CDC director Dr. Robert Redfield told NBC's "Today" show.

I don't know what happened 3-5 weeks ago (Spring Break? Mardi Gras?), but the USA as a whole reported 4,591 new deaths in one day; well more than twice the usual daily number of heart attacks, which is the usual top cause of death (~2000), and almost twice the record number of the day before (2569)

For those of you who are counting, that would be 1.7 MILLION deaths per year. Mostly in the NYC, NJ, and MICHIGAN area (the state where people are just dying to get back to work).

Altho NYC just went back and reclassified ~4000 deaths posthumously, those deaths were NOT included in the figure.

So, seriously, what happened? Young adults came home from Spring Break/Mardis Gras and gave it to mom and dad, or grandma and grandpa?
