Man... I didn't even know it was Superbowl Sunday until my old man called me on Monday to tell me I had to check out a few of the commercials.

There's a Geeks and Gamers Youtuber who really breaks down the numbers of movies like you do. Fun for a bit, but it soon becomes noise to me.

I know of the channel. When I used to watch it on occasion it was just that one dude doing it out of the garage and flexing his sports car in the background. They seem to have quite a few more people posting on that channel these days.
I can only watch so much of that stuff these days.
But allow me to apologize ahead of time, because I'm probably going to be posting the numbers on this turd all the way until it's out of theaters. 
It's kind of funny how it climbed rather quickly to a billion worldwide then just took a dump completely. One might say it looks as though somebody was manipulating numbers early on to reach that benchmark then decided that to push it any further would not be believable.

Yeah, Jeremy. He’s a bit of an acquired taste, but he generally sticks to the topic and leaves no doubt about his opinion. Since I started watching though, he has expanded geeks and gamers.
There can be half a dozen or more different people on the geeks and gamers videos, A couple of them , at least, are girls. Really change the attitude when even girl gigs are talking about the absurdities of the Mary Sue.
None of that Anna Sarkisian gamer gate nonsense which was fully contrived and phony.

The real bad news is that STAR WARS is likely going to go the way of Flash Gordon and Buck Rodgers because of Johnson and J.J. Thanks to Bad Robot (or Bad Reboot) STAR WARS and STAR TREK may be damaged beyond repair, now J.J. is on his way to Warner Bros. to fuck up Marvel.

He doesn't come off like much of a geek to me. At least the other Jeremy (from the quartering) and the Nerdrotic dude look the part. The dude that started Geeks and Gamers always came off to me as the anti-Sarkisian, in that he wasn't really part of a culture but figured there was good money in it and he jumped in at the right time.
Smart to get girls on board though. Love watching when people from different races and sexes come out against the wack job lefty identitarians and put them in their place.

Maybe it's time for all this stuff to die man.
I've heard that our culture has become completely stagnant and seemingly unable to come up with any new concepts anymore.
I don't believe this is true. I think the money and the power and decision making have just become too centralized and those people have been trying to milk old franchises for far too long.
There are some really great indie flicks out there that big studios of the last two decades would never have taken a chance on, proving that there are indeed new stories to tell (or at least new and interesting ways to tell them).

I don't think the end result financially is what they were going for, but maybe the best thing for the future of culture and creativity is to just tear it all down and start over again.

Yep, Jeremy does seem more of a sports ball and cars kinda guy, and less of a standard geek, but I'd like to think that fandom extends beyond stereotypes. Mr H Reviews is British, and also into cars as well, but has an affinity for HP Lovecraft, so I guess it takes all types.
Jeremy often appears w/ Gary - of Nerdrotic fame - on his group live streams, and also put in a good word for a fellow youtuber and helped get his channel back.
Ivan excels in ' fixing ' Star Wars trailers and story lines.
